Abstract
To date, security verification consisted of a human checking for known exploitable weaknesses present in a design created by humans. In the Agentic Era, AI increases threat creation, exposure, and closure. Security verification quickly shifts from a human vs. human exercise to an AI vs. AI exercise. However, human judgment is required to ensure a truly secure system is implemented that meets all requirements. In the security verification game, AI plays against AI. The human must assume the role of referee, understanding all the subtleties of the rules of the game, and passing final judgment to ensure success. This webinar will suggest a verification methodology that empowers the human security referee.
Biography
Chris Giles is the Director of Products for Creation, Static and Formal Verification at Siemens EDA. Chris came to Siemens EDA from the user community, with decades of experience in IP and ASIC/SoC/FPGA R&D and management, with products deployed in consumer, military, compute and storage markets and at companies such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Micron, Broadcom, Seagate, Honeywell, and General Dynamics. The author of 18 patents in areas such as hardware virtualization, security, processor architecture, synchronization schemes, and hardware prototyping, Chris received an MSEE from Stanford University in California and a BSEE from Rice University in Texas.
